First Merry Christmas! I’m Back AGAIN after a long hiatus. My last real post was about our kitchen remodel. Remodel it was! We finished the remodel just in time to decided if we wanted to sell our house or not. THAT was not in the plan when the kitchen remodel began. We found a lot that we wanted to build on. After many decisions, talking with builders, our house went up for sale and sold in 7 days. We are now in the process of building a new home. Staying in the same town, just out in the township. Some updates of the new house build will be in future posts
I thought the best way to celebrate posting again on my blog would be sharing some yummy food! Soooo sharing some recipes I have found for Christmas cookies, desserts, and quick breads. Most I have not tried, but will be trying most for this Christmas. (note: all photos of the recipes come from the recipe link)
Pecan Balls cookies – Noris City Old Timers Recipes

Cake Balls – The best ever! From Dinner at the Zoo. We make them every Christmas!

Our little twists in making our Cake Balls:
We use the milk chocolate Candiquick fast drying chocolate
Have fun decorating them: we use multi-colored sprinkles, tiny beads, or sprinkle confettii, or you can use one color on each cake ball, or use sprinkles disks or drizzle frosting on the top of the ball, or dip in finely crushed candy canes or finely crushed nuts!
Andes Mint Chocolate Cookies – Cooking Classy
What not to love, chocolate and Andes MInts! YUM!

And last but NOT least!! 40 quick Christmas Bread Recipes from Taste of Home
Great for gift-giving!

Every year I buy a new ornament or two (or three….)
Below are the ones for this year. going more farmhouse/rustic on some of them. Made of wood and they go so well with my wood bead garland. The JOY one is a 3D type and the glass is etched and the “snow” in the bottom can be moved around.
And the last photo… in our apartment (as we await our move to living in a house again!) Our fireplace with the tree reflected in the tv screen. I couldn’t live without my fireplace. And YES we will have a fireplace (gas log) in our living room of the new house!
